About The Writers & Artists

James Hachey

James Hachey embarked on his comic journey in the late 70’s, precisely in 1975, by creating fanzines such as Concepts: The Magazine of Tomorrow’s Professionals.

He then joined the ranks of contributors to a local fan publication called The Sorcerstone Presents around 1981 or 1982.

In 1984, Hachey ventured into creating his own brand of comics titled The Destructors of Evil, featuring the works of various creators.

During this period, Hachey discovered local talent and provided them with the opportunity to create and produce their own titles.

This endeavor lasted for three years and resulted in the production of thirteen issues, igniting the black and white craze in the Martimes.

Afterwards, Hachey delved into the world of Christian-based illustrations. In 1999, alongside a long-time friend, he initiated the production of an anthology series called Manga Ganda, which has seen the release of five books to date.

Then, in 2005, Hachey launched his own super team named The Supernatural Agents, introducing his creation Star Bolt, who made a reappearance after a three-year absence from the team.

This brings us to Hachey’s main feature, the graphic novel Star Bolt.

Throughout his career, Hachey has worked with various publishers and released several titles. Some of the publishers he has collaborated with include:

Red Leaf Comics (Manga Ganda, 2013)
Lucky Comics: Fox Force, Crom, Candroid, Martyr, and various covers
Surprising Comics: Skyscraper

Additionally, Hachey has worked with publishers such as Nerdantix, Advent, Cataclysm Comics, Waterfront Studios, and Markosia. He also provided inks for Dan Reed’s title, The Dimensioneer in 2021.

Notably, Hachey has contributed creatively to numerous stories and continues to produce material for both other publishers and his own projects.

He actively promotes and sells his books at comic conventions across the Martimes in Canada. At present, he has three graphic novels and several comic-related books in progress.
